Dremel Bit
Second only to my Dremel, the one tool I could not live without is the Diamagroove Dremel Bit from Whitman's Sharpening. After over 10 years of constant use, it is still in like-NEW condition! I highly recommend investing in the Diamagroove!

Cordless Dremel
I used the Dremel Micro for many years before upgrading to the Dremel 8220. While this one is a little bigger than the Dremel Micro, it is a good size for a dog owner with small-ish hands. If you are looking for a cordless Dremel with power, this one is for you!

Electric Dremel
The Dremel 4000 with the Flex Attachment is a fantastic option if you prefer an electric one. Please contact me if you would like to use the Flex Attachment with the Diamagroove bit. It works, but may need some fine-tuning for optimal performance.

Pet Dremel
Of the pet Dremels I've tested, I prefer the Dremel Lite for small and medium size dogs. It is variable speed, relatively quiet, powerful enough when fully charged, and will work with the Diamagroove bit. I would not buy this for large or giant breed dogs.

Nail Clipper
The Millers Forge brand nail clipper is one of the absolute best on the market. I purchased the two I have over 25 years ago and they are in like-NEW condition. If you have a large or giant breed dog and want to trim nails using a nail clipper, get the Millers Forge!

Styptic Powder
In case you are unfamiliar, styptic powder is used in the rare case of a dog nail bleeding. Kwik Stop is the gold standard brand. Alternatives like corn starch or flour also work, but I have found keeping an inexpensive container of Kwik Stop on hand easy enough.
